7 Days trip to Erg Chebbi desert
Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes
On the first day of your tour, we will meet at Tangier’s port and travel across the Rif Mountains to Tetouan. As we approach Chefchaouen, one of the spectacular communities at the foot of the mountains, we take in the beautiful views of the mountains. Mountains of Rif. The Spanish-style central square of Chefchaouen’s medina is flanked by several craft workshops and entertaining stores.
The best restaurants and cafes will be found there. Our journey will continue through Wazan and other Rif villages to the Volubilis crossing. Volubilis is a significant Roman archaeological site that will teach us about Morocco’s history. After visiting the ruins, we will go to Meknes, a neighbouring historic city. We’ll pause for lunch and take a stroll through the Medina’s iconic gate, Bab Mansour, as well as a visit to Moulay Ismail’s refuge. Following your tour to Meknes, we will travel to Fez, where you will spend the night in a Riad.
Day 2 : Fez sightseeing.
After breakfast in your riad, you will begin to get to know the oldest city in Morocco by walking through its streets and alleys. Our visit begins by visiting the Royal Palace, the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate. The Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco during the 16th century. We will make sure that you visit all the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine university, the oldest in Africa. The tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Moulay Idriss Mauseum. After lunch, we will visit the tile cooperative and then we will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the entire medina of Fez.
Accommodation and dinner in Riad.
Day 3 : Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi.
You will depart for Merzouga after breakfast at your accommodation. The path will take us to Ifrane, and the Ziz Gorges, as well as the interesting Tizi Ntalghamt tunnel. We’ll be able to get views of the High Atlas plateau and watch how the environment changes as we approach Errachidia, eventually revealing the tracks of the desert. Following that, you’ll journey through the lovely Ziz Valley. Stopping for panoramic views on the road to Erfoud and Rissani. We will be greeted with a drink of mint tea when we arrive at Merzouga. After that, we’ll take a camel ride to a tent camp in the midst of the Erg Chebbi desert. Spend the night amid the dunes, listening to Berber drumming.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Rose Valley.
We will get up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara. Later? the route will take us through the Saghro mountains to Tinghir. We will take a short walk through the Todra Gorges before arriving at the Rose Valley. Dinner and overnight in riad tazawa.
Day 5 : Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.
We’ll travel through the Rose Valley to Skoura and Ouarzazate after breakfast at the hotel. The pathway of a thousand kasbahs, as well as the adjacent Skoura palm grove, are part of the Rose Valley tour. We’ll travel to Ouarzazate, which is known for its film studios. We will stop at Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s largest Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on our journey to Marrakech. As you reach the High Atlas, the terrain will change dramatically, with tempting panoramic views and Berber communities en route to Marrakesh. Overnight in Riad.
Day 6 : Marrakech sightseeing.
A journey to Marrakech, “the red city,” will take place after breakfast in the Riad. We’ll make certain that the most significant historical and cultural sites are visited. The Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace are among the sights to see. After a meal in a restaurant near the well-known Jemma El-Fna Square. We’ll then go to the souks, where we’ll see samples of various crafts. There will be free time in the afternoon to explore other sections of the city.
Day 7 : Transfer to the airport.
We will accompany you to the airport after breakfast at a convenient time, where we will conclude our services after saying our goodbyes.
