4 Days trip to Erg Chebbi Sahara desert
Day 1: Fez- Ifran – Imilchil.
We depart for Umer-Rbia s Manantiales after breakfast, passing through Ifran (1650 m height) and entering the Azrou cedar forest. We proceed through a volcanic zone with several lakes formed in craters, followed by berbere communities. At the end of the journey, we arrive in Imlchil, a Berber town famous for its end-of-August wedding party. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Imilchil– Todra Gorge – Dades valley – Rose Valley.
After a good breakfast and a shower. The Todra Gorges are the first stop, followed by the Dades Gorges. These are two magnificent gorges made by massive steep mountains that exceed 300 meters in altitude and are only 20 meters wide in places. We continue on to the beautiful Rose Valley, where we may have a walk and discover the secret regions away from the tourist traps. Dinner and overnight at riad in the heart of the valley.
Day 3: Rose valley- Alnif- Erg chebbi.
Following an extremely dry and arid drive through unusual and stunning scenery, you depart for a desert trip after breakfast: The Anti-Atlas Mountain is first seen as it travels through a beautiful valley with spectacular panoramic vistas of gardens. After that, be escorted to the colossal Erg Chebbi dunes, where you can ride camels to the top and watch the sunset across the plains of the Sahara Desert. Dinner and a restful night’s sleep in the bivouac’s Nomadic tents.
Day 4: Erg chebbi – Rissani – Ziz valley- Midelt – Fez.
Get up early morning in order to see the sunrise. Then we’ll travel to Rissani, where we’ll visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif (the dynasty’s founder) and other tourist attractions. In Rissani, visit the traditional souk during a local market day. Visit the marble-fossilized treatment plant in Erfoud before heading to the palm-fringed Ziz valley. In the afternoon, you’ll travel to Fez via Errachidia and Midelt.
