6 Days trips to Erg Chebbi desert

Day 1 : Tanger- Chefchaouen

Today we head to Chefchaouen, a beautiful blue and white-washed Andalucian town nestled in the Rif Mountains. The town is a relaxed town, with small winding alleyways and market squares, where the women of the surrounding Rif come to sell their hand made products. Over night in the Hotel.

Day 2 : Chefchaouen – Fes

After Breakfast we drive you  to the  Morocco’s most fascinating city and the world last surviving Medieval city. You will tour the medina with its “souks” (markets) stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th-century Karouine Mosque and University. You will visit the tomb of the city founder, Moulay Idris II. Lunch will be at one of the traditional restaurants in the old medina. After lunch you will continue to explore the Najarine Fountain, the gateway of the Bab Boujloud, the old harem gardens and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Mausoleum and a famous tannery where skins are cured and dyed in cnormous vats.

 

Day 3:  Fez- Ifran – Imilchil

After breakfast we leave for the Umer-Rbia s Manantiales , we pass through the alpine center of Ifran (1650 m altitude), crossing the cedars forest of  Azrou ,we cross a volcanic region  with numerous lakes formed in craters , Then we pass through beeberes villages, we arrive at the end at Imlchil a Berber town known for its wedding party to celebrate  the end of August. Dinner and overnight in hotel

Day 4:  Imilchil– Todra Gorge – Dades  valley – Rose Valley

After a shower and a good breakfast, we head first to the spectacular Todra Gorges and then to the Dades Gorges. These are two incredible canyons formed by immense steep mountains that reach 300 meters of altitude, with narrow parts of only 20 meters. we follow our way to the spectacular valley of roses where we have time for a walk and explore the hidden areas away from tourist areas  We had dinner and we slept in a riad in the heart of the valley

Day 5: Rose  valley- Alnif- Erg chebbi

You have breakfast and straight you start the adventure in direction of the desert through very dry and arid tracks crossing original and impressive landscapes: a first impression of Anti Atlas Mountain passing through a fabulous valley offering splendid panoramic sights on gardens …….. Afterwards, you will have fun to be taken to the vast  dunes of  Erg chebbi  to eventually go up in camel rides up to the peak of the dunes, where you will enjoy so much the sunset view in the plain Sahara Desert. Dinner and peaceful slumber in the bivouac under Nomadic tents.

Day 6: Erg chebbi – Rissani – Ziz  valley-  Midelt – Fez  

Early morning in order to see the sunrise, return by camels to the hotel after breakfast departure to Rissani,  we will explore its touristy area including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif (mausoleum of the dynasty’s founder) and experience the local market day in Rissani to see the traditional souks and Erfoud in order to visit the treatment plant marble fossilized before continuing to the Ziz valley dotted with palm trees . Afternoon you will drive towards Fez  via  Errachidia and Midelt

Dinner and night in hotel.
